NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Busch posted the fastest time in NASCAR Xfinity Series practice on Friday at Nashville Superspeedway.
Busch, driving the No. 54 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, put down a lap of 155.728 mph to lead the field as he attempts to earn his 100th NASCAR Xfinity Series victory in the “Tennessee Lottery 250” NASCAR Xfinity Series race (2:30 p.m., NBCSN).
This will be the first NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway since July 23, 2011.
“I don’t think this place has changed one concrete joint since we’ve been here,” Busch said. “It drove similar to what I remember from before. It looks good. They’ve done a lot of work here. We’re looking forward to a good weekend.”
Harrison Burton was second quickest, followed by A.J. Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric and Austin Cindric.
NASCAR Cup Series star Tyler Reddick is also entered in the race.
The track NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying record is held by David Stremme (166.561 mph, April 7, 2007).
