19-year-old Derek Kraus has earned the pole position for Friday’s “Rackley Roofing 200” NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.
Kraus, driving the No. 19 Toyota for McAnally Hilgemann Racing, turned a lap of 160.493 mph to head the field for today’s 7 p.m. race. It is Kraus’ first career pole.
Jack Wood was second, followed by Austin Hill, Grant Enfinger and practice leader Chandler Smith
The Truck Series qualifying record for Nashville Superspeedway is held by Erik Darnell with a lap of 162.116 mph (29.601 seconds) set on Aug. 12, 2006.
NASCAR Cup Series stars William Byron, Ross Chastain and Ryan Preece are also entered in today‘s race.
