LEBANON, Tenn. - Carson Hocevar posted the quickest speed Friday at Nashville Superspeedway during practice for the Rackley Roofing 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.
Driving the No. 42 Chevrolet for Niece Motorsports, Hocevar, 20, posted a speed of 158.291 mph (30.248 seconds) to lead the 36-car field.
Defending Craftsman Truck Series champion Zane Smith was second (156.968 mph), more than 1 mph behind Hocevar. Bayley Currey was third, followed by Dean Thompson in fourth and Christian Eckes in fifth. Points leader Corey Heim was eighth.
The Rackley Rooking 200 race lineup will be set by qualifying, which begins today at 3:30 p.m.
Nashville’s Truck Series qualifying record was set by Erik Darnell in August 2006 with a lap of 162.116 mph.
The green flag for the Rackley Roofing 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race (FS1, MRN, Sirius NASCAR Radio) is set for 7 p.m. CT.
The Rackley Roofing 200 is the last race of the 2023 Triple Truck Challenge. Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes won the first two legs of the Challenge, each pocketing a $50,000 bonus. They are eligible for an additional $150,000 bonus with a second Challenge victory tonight. Any new Challenge winner will receive a $50,000 bonus.
