LEBANON, Tenn. — Nashville Superspeedway has partnered with Plaza Mariachi Music City to serve as title sponsor of its Fiesta de Cinco de Mayo. The event, scheduled for this Sunday, showcases a celebration of Mexican culture, music and cuisine, drawing thousands of attendees from across the region.
“Partnering with Plaza Mariachi for this spectacular Cinco de Mayo celebration is something we hope to make an annual tradition,” said Nashville Superspeedway general manager Matt Greci. “As we have always fully embraced the cultural diversity of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, we are excited to share the thrill of motorsports with the attendees while enjoying the vibrant festivities of this beloved holiday.”
Attendees can quickly get immersed in the lively atmosphere while commemorating the rich history and traditions of Mexico. Scheduled entertainment throughout the day includes live performances by talented musicians, mariachi bands and folkloric dancers who will transport you straight to the heart of Mexico with their colorful costumes and enchanting rhythms.
No Cinco de Mayo celebration is complete without the quintessential tacos, and Plaza Mariachi promises to offer a diverse selection of flavors and fillings, as well as its specially curated tequila and margarita bar.
The event begins at noon CT, and there will be a $10 cover charge for attendees arriving after 9 p.m.
As the title sponsor, Nashville Superspeedway will bring its Ford Mustang Mach 1 pace car on display and an interactive tent offering attendees the chance to win tickets for the Ally 400 NASCAR race weekend (June 28-30).
