Nashville Superspeedway Honored as Disaster Response Partner of the Year

Wednesday, February 26, 2025

LEBANON, Tenn. — Nashville Superspeedway was honored as a Disaster Response Partner of the Year by the Volunteer Network recently in recognition of its outstanding commitment to community relief efforts following Hurricane Helene. During the recognition ceremony, the Volunteer Network highlighted Nashville Superspeedway’s dedication to supporting those in need through collaboration, swift action and meaningful community partnerships.

“Nashville Superspeedway is deeply committed to serving our community, and we are honored to have been recognized as a Disaster Response Partner of the Year,” said Matt Greci, general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “This award is a testament to the power of teamwork and the Volunteer State’s unwavering spirit of generosity. We are grateful for our partners and the countless volunteers who stepped up in a time of need.”

At the Volunteer Network’s annual fundraiser – “Building Bridges: Celebrating Our Growth, Empowering Our Future” – held last week, Greci was honored alongside Sarah Grove and the Lebanon Fire Department for their steadfast dedication to disaster relief and community support.

When Hurricane Helene struck East Tennessee and western areas of North Carolina, Nashville Superspeedway, in partnership with Bristol Motor Speedway, quickly mobilized to collect and deliver essential supplies to affected areas. By working alongside the Volunteer Network to provide a space for volunteer coordination and supply distribution, Nashville Superspeedway played a vital role in ensuring that vetted donations reached those most in need.

Through these collective efforts, more than 333 volunteer hours were dedicated to disaster response, and eight semi-trailers were filled with donations and transported to Bristol Motor Speedway for distribution.
