Bubba Wallace led America’s best drivers on Friday during practice for the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.
Wallace, driving the No. 23 Toyota for 23XI Racing, turned a lap of 161.708 mph (29.609 seconds) for the fastest time of the session.
Kyle Busch was second, followed by Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson and William Byron.
Ally 400 qualifying is set for noon on Saturday, with the green flag scheduled for shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Last year’s pole winner, Aric Almirola, has the record for a Cup Series qualifying lap at Nashville at 161.992 mph (29.557 seconds).
