“Tornado Relief
Fund Autograph Session” this Saturday at
Nashville Superspeedway
Lebanon, TN - When the tornado
roared through Middle Tennessee on Good Friday, April 10, the NASCAR Nationwide
Series Drivers were huddled in the Nashville Superspeedway Media Center watching
TV reports of the devastation in Murfreesboro, just minutes south of the track.
The memory of that day lives on in the minds of many of the drivers, and so when
they roll back into town this weekend for the Federated Auto Parts 300 NASCAR
Nationwide Series race they wanted to give back to the community.
Nationwide Insurance, NASCAR and the Nashville Superspeedway will host a
"Tornado Relief Fund Autograph Session" at the Nationwide Display on Expo Row
Saturday, June 6 from Noon to 1 p.m. The autograph session is free; however,
donations are welcome to benefit the
Nashville area American Red
Cross.
Drivers scheduled to appear are:
Stephen Leicht, Eric McClure, Scott Lagasse Jr., Kenny Wallace, Michael
McDowell, Burney Lamar, John Wes Townley, Michael Annett, Jason Leffler, Morgan
Shepherd, Scott Wimmer, Cale Gale, Brad Keselowski (first half hour only), Jason
Keller, Robert Richardson Jr., Brendan Gaughan, Steve Wallace and Erik Darnell.
This follows a $ 25,000 donation the Nationwide Foundation presented to
the Nashville Area American Red Cross after the storms in April.
Tickets are available for Saturday’s
Federated Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. To purchase tickets for
the race call toll-free 1-866-RACE-TIX or online at www.nashvillesuperspeedway.com.
